SAMUDRA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Sunday, Aug. 22

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

We are throwing an elephant-sized party for Samudra, the baby elephant. The zoo's Elephant Plaza will be filled with a village of inflatable houses and slides for kids to play on. Keeper talks and elephant enrichment activities will be going on throughout the day. Guests who really want to get into the swing of things can wear a pair of "Happy Birthday" elephant ears. Decorate-your-own-cupcakes will be available for purchase.

Hey Kids!

This heat wave can be very hard on pets. Keep them indoors with plenty of water!

I have a little trick with the cats. I get all kinds of different bowls they haven't used before and put some water in it, leave it. They immediately get "curious" and go check it out and slurp up some! It's a water-bowl-a-palooza!

I also leave lots of water outside for birds and any other strays that may come through.

Be kind to the furry beasts!!!

It's baby season!

Well, well, well...it looks like EB and Mrs. B have some new babies at their house. The feral Momma Kitty had 5 babies under their deck a few months ago. It clearly appears Momma has returned and had a few more!
